On Februarary 26th, CSUCI will welcome Professor Muhammad Yunus. Professor Yunus is a Nobel Peace Prize winner as well as a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom along with various other awards and over two dozen honorary degrees.

The University is providing a shuttle service from CI to the event. Channel Islands faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to “Get on the Bus… Change Begins with Me and U”.
Admission will be free for CSUCI and for Ventura County Community College. Bus riders will receive their tickets and a free t-shirt as they board. Guests will be charged a general admission price of $20 plus service charges. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster or at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. This is a once in a lifetime event that should not be missed. Come out and discuss how we can change the world one step at a time.

This sounds like a great event. In case you’re interested, there’s a documentary about Muhummad Yunus that just premiered at Sundance. http://www.tocatchadollar.com
