You heard it right, the Camarillo Trolley is back in Camarillo again! The Camarillo Trolley service was suspended due to COVID-19 as part of the efforts of the city to prevent the spread of the virus. Since the suspension was due to the need to adhere to public health guidelines the service was reintroduced once it was deemed safe for public transportation to operate under the new safety protocols.

As the new semester kicks off at CI, incoming students have an exciting opportunity to explore the vibrant community of Camarillo with the newly launched trolley system. Running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and extending until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays the trolley offers a convenient and affordable way to discover the city.

For just 50 cents for senior and ADA riders and $1 for adults and students, the trolley connects the CI campus community with key spots throughout Camarillo. The route begins at the Metrolink train station, traveling west on Daily Drive, south on Las Posas Road and then east on Ventura Boulevard before looping back to the station. This 30-minute loop includes stops at popular shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment venues, making it easy for students to explore the local scene.

The flexibility of the Trolley is perfect for students with busy schedules to board from anywhere along the route. The air-conditioned service is a welcome comfort during warm days in Camarillo providing a cool and stress-free ride to your destination.

For CI students this new trolley system is more than just transportation. It is a gateway to discovering Camarillo. Whether you are looking to shop, dine, or simply get to know your new home, the trolley offers a safe, accessible and eco-friendly way to get around. The trolley also includes accommodations for those with disabilities, ensuring that all students can explore the city with ease.

Hop on the trolley and start your adventure in Camarillo—your new community awaits!
