CI Music Club is helping to bring together musicians to jam and play music. The club is led by President Owen Mason, a third-year Computer Science major; Treasurer Nikhil Dutta, a third-year communication major; and Vice President Diego Espinosa, a third year chemistry major.
This club was started in February 2022, in order to make a community around the common interest of music. The club has been successful with building a strong community and aims to continue to do so at the main events.
The club’s main events are Music Nights, held every other Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Ekho’s Cafe in the Student Union. Three events are scheduled this semester.
Music Nights are designed to build community through live music and board games. Students can sign up to perform using the Google Form linked below or by adding their name to the open mic list during the event.
Student organizations are also invited to participate and promote their clubs. Mason, who also serves as president of the Board Game Club, has arranged for members to bring small board games for attendees to play during the event.
After the scheduled performances and open mic sets conclude, the event will transition into karaoke. Students are encouraged to perform or attend to enjoy the music and games.
