The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) elections at CI are coming up soon, giving students the opportunity to shape the future of campus leadership. Whether you are voting online or in person, here is everything you need to know to make your voice heard.
How to Vote in the ASI Elections
Students can vote in the ASI Elections in two ways:
- Online Voting: Look out for an email in your MyCI inbox on April 15 with a direct voting link that allows you to cast your vote quickly and securely.
- In-Person Voting: Visit the Student Union Dolphin Deck between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on April 15 and 16 to vote in person. As an extra incentive, the first 150 voters each day at the Lock In and Vote event will receive free churros!
Voting Open and Closing Dates
• Voting Opens: Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
• Voting Closes: Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
What Does It Take to Win?
To secure a position, a candidate must receive votes from at least 10 percent of the total number of students who participate in the ASI election. Every vote matters, so be sure to cast yours!
Encouraging Student Participation
Allen Monge, ASI Elections Council Chair, emphasized the importance of student involvement, sharing, “Our goal is to create that engagement with students, to make them be inspired and excited to be a part of our school.” He explained how the team focused on marketing and direct student interaction to build momentum around the elections. “Our jobs have not finished,” he added, pointing to the upcoming Lock In and Vote event as a final push to boost voter turnout and celebrate student participation.

According to Monge, “As long as you pay the ASI fee—which a majority of CI students do—you are eligible to vote!”
